Project Details

MET's interior design proposal for the Performing Arts Centre in Guadalajara was shaped around the concept of visualising the creative process as a leitmotif to create a design that is both sympathetic to the mexican specific aesthethic and the universality of the creative act.

A large swirl of ideas, musical notes, and papers float in the main lobby evoking the birth of creativity.

This sculpture evolves along the different lobbies and corridors, becoming more defined and precise as vague inspirations become shaped designs, completing the grand space of the main auditorium for experimental and commercial performance, and a multi-use blackbox theatre with the capacity for 400 people.
