Bacardi had been using their 'B-Bar' travelling promotion for some time when they approached MET Studio to help conceive a more ambitious 'next step' promotion that could be used globally, funded by the brand's marketing teams from all five major regions around the world.


MET Studio's concept tied in with the brand's advertising concept of “spontaneity” - the idea of an instant party wherever Bacardi is available with the strapline 'let the bat lead the way', inspired by the brand's 'bat' marque. Eight huge-scale Bacardi trucks would combine to create a single party arena for the best one night party ever lasting from dusk till dawn, with a hand-picked party crowd selected by Bacardi barmen and communicated by text messages.


The promotion would feature contemporary 'Cirque du Soleil' style acts spilling out from the backs of the trucks and projections onto the ceilings of the temporary tent structure housing the event. Four or five such parties would happen simultaneously around the world, leading to a midnight 'crescendo' moment.
