For
the fourth phase in the development of this prestigious
national museum, MET Studio Design were commissioned
to create a series of the highest-quality, full-scale
and scientifically-accurate dioramas on the theme
of global ecology, reflecting modern scientific
thinking. To ensure the rigorous level of scientific
accuracy needed for this major gallery, MET Studio
Design undertook field trips to several of the seven
habitats to be represented. The final dioramas covered
seven different world habitats - Chinese deciduous
forest, Canadian tundra, African savannah, Sonoran
desert, Bornean mangrove, the Galapagos Islands
and a spectacular walk-through Costa Rican rainforest.
