The show at the centre of the whole experience will take visitors on an incredible journey, zooming in from outer space to see points where wetlands touch/have touched people’s lives across the earth. With a central theme of geography and time, vignettes range from the Loy Krathong river festival in Thailand to the bustle of modern Shanghai to the aboriginal rock paintings of Australia’s Kakadu to the architecture of Venice. The contrast between ancient and modern and the differing people’s of the world instantly demonstrates that the relationship between humans and wetlands is truly both global and eternal. Commentary is minimal, with atmospheric music and wonderful imagery telling a story with direct emotional appeal to the visitor.
